Downloading and Installing
Stitch A Lot Studio is available for Windows, macOS, iPad, and Android. Here is how to install it on each platform.
Windows
- Visit stitchalot.com/software and click the download button for Windows.
- Run the downloaded installer (.exe file).
- Follow the installer prompts to choose your install location and complete the setup.
- Launch Stitch A Lot Studio from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut.
Automatic Updates
On Windows, Stitch A Lot Studio checks for updates automatically when you launch the app. When an update is available, you will see a notification in the bottom-right corner with the option to download and install it. Updates are verified for authenticity before installation.
macOS
There are two ways to install on macOS:
Option 1: Direct Download
- Visit stitchalot.com/software and click the download button for macOS.
- Open the downloaded .dmg file.
- Drag Stitch A Lot Studio to your Applications folder.
- On first launch, macOS may show a security prompt (Gatekeeper). Click Open to confirm you trust the app.
The direct download version includes automatic updates, just like Windows.
Option 2: Mac App Store
- Search for "Stitch A Lot Studio" in the Mac App Store.
- Click Get to download and install.
- Launch from your Applications folder or Launchpad.
The App Store version updates automatically through the App Store.
iPad
- Open the App Store on your iPad.
- Search for "Stitch A Lot Studio."
- Tap Get to download and install.
- Open the app from your Home Screen.
Updates are delivered automatically through the App Store.
Android
There are two ways to install on Android:
Option 1: Google Play
- Open the Stitch A Lot Studio listing on Google Play.
- Tap Install, then Open.
Updates are delivered automatically through Google Play.
Option 2: Direct Download
- Visit stitchalot.com/download and tap the Android download button to save the
.apkfile. - Open it — tap the download notification, or find it in your Files / Downloads app and tap it.
- The first time, Android will say your browser "isn't allowed to install apps." Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then tap Back.
- Tap Install, then Open.
The direct download version notifies you when a new version is available. This step is only needed because the file comes from our website instead of the Play Store, and you only do it the first time.
First Launch
When you open Stitch A Lot Studio for the first time, you will see the welcome screen with options to:
- Start a 7-day free trial — Try all features with no credit card required
- Enter a license key — If you have already purchased a license
- Purchase a license — Opens the Stitch A Lot website
