Getting Help
StitchALot Studio's Help menu gathers everything you need when you're stuck.
The Help Menu
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show Tutorial | Replays the guided tour of the app |
| Online Manual | Opens this manual at stitchalot.com/manual |
| Report a Problem | Opens the StitchALot problem-report form |
| License… | Your license, account, and devices (see Free Trial and License Activation) |
| Update Check | Checks for a newer version (Windows and Mac) |
| About | Shows your version number and a link to the forum |
The Tutorial
The tutorial runs automatically the first time you open the app. It opens a demo pattern and walks you through the main areas of the screen. Use Next and Back to move through it, and Get Started to finish. The last step has a View Online Manual button.
Start it again any time from Help > Show Tutorial or Settings > Show Tutorial….
Reporting a Problem
Help > Report a Problem opens the problem-report form at stitchalot.com/report-problem in your browser. If you're signed in to your StitchALot account, your email is filled in for you.
Describe what happened and, if you can, attach the file involved (for example, the design, or the chart PDF that didn't import right). A report with the file is the fastest way to get a problem fixed.
The PDF chart importer and StitchALot Cloud error messages also have Report a problem links.
The StitchALot Forum
Ask questions, share designs, and get tips from other stitchers at stitchalot.com/forum. Help > About has a Visit the StitchAlot Forum link.
Finding Your Version Number
Choose Help > About to see which version you're running (for example, "Version 1.8.3"). It's handy to include in a problem report, or to check that two devices are on the same version.
