Progress and Stitch Tracker

The Stitch Tracker helps you track your progress as you stitch your needlepoint project in real life.

Entering Stitch Tracker Mode

Click the Stitch Tracker button in the header bar, or go to Tools > Stitch Tracker.

When Stitch Tracker mode is active, the right sidebar switches to the progress tracking panel.

Marking Stitches Complete

In Stitch Tracker mode, click on stitches to mark them as complete. You can also click and drag with the Pencil tool or use the Fill tool to mark entire areas at once.

Completed stitches are shown with a shading overlay so you can easily see what has been done and what remains.

Shading Settings

Customize how completed stitches appear:

• Shading Color — Choose from preset grays or pick a custom color
• Opacity — Adjust the overlay transparency (0–100%)
• Hide Completed — Toggle to completely hide finished stitches, leaving only the remaining ones visible

Per-Color Progress

The progress panel shows a breakdown by color:

• Each color has a progress bar showing the percentage complete
• Stitch counts are displayed (e.g., "145 / 320 stitches")
• Colors are sorted with the most stitches first

Highlighting

Click a color row to highlight all stitches of that color on the canvas. Choose a highlight color (green, magenta, cyan, yellow, orange, or red) to make them stand out.

Bulk Operations

• Mark All Complete — Mark every stitch of a color as done
• Mark as Incomplete — Revert a color back to incomplete
• An Undo button appears after bulk operations for quick reversal

Session Timer

Track how long you spend stitching:

• Start/Resume — Begin or continue timing
• Pause — Temporarily stop the timer
• End Session — Stop and save the session

The timer displays in hours, minutes, and seconds.

Statistics

The tracker calculates:

• Stitches per minute — Your current stitching speed (requires at least 10 seconds of timing)
• Estimated time remaining — Based on your current speed and remaining stitches
• Overall progress — Total percentage of all stitches completed

Session History

Every session is saved with its start time, duration, stitches completed, and speed. You can view all past sessions for the current pattern to track your progress over time.
