Configuring a Shape
Size
Set the size in inches or millimeters. The size is converted to stitches based on your canvas mesh count.
Color
Select a color from your palette for the shape.
Filled vs. Outline
Toggle the Filled checkbox:
- Filled — The shape is solid, filled with the selected color
- Outline — Only the border of the shape is drawn
Placing on the Canvas
After configuring your shape, click on the canvas to place it. The cell you click becomes the center of the shape.
Each shape lands on its own new layer so you can nudge or resize it first. Press Enter or click away to finalize. Placed shapes are made of ordinary stitches, so you can keep editing them with any drawing tool afterward.
Custom Shapes
You can build your own reusable shapes from existing patterns. On the home page jsut click the import as shape icon on the pattern you would like added to the shapes.
In the Shape Library, click Import from File… and choose a .stitchalot file — its stitches are saved as a custom shape you can place like any built-in. Custom shapes keep their original colors and can be renamed or deleted from the library.
