Now available on Android and Mac store. Lot's of improvements and foxes.

Auto-Flatten is now per-pattern. Each file keeps its own setting; the Settings toggle ("Auto-Flatten New Files" → now "Layers Default") only affects newly-created patterns. Change the working pattern's mode from the Layer Panel.
Older patterns open in the right layer mode automatically (multi-layer → layers on; single-layer → auto-flatten on), independent of your new-file default.
Turning layers on/off is now a simple On/Off slider in the Layer Panel footer, with confirmation before flattening.
Enable layers for every new file in one step via a "Set layers on as the default for all new files" checkbox (reflects and updates your current default).
Clearer Preferences wording ("Layers Default").
Tidier Layer Panel when layers are off — no more uneditable flattened-layer row.

Patterns no longer get stuck in Stitch Tracker mode — a pattern reopens in whichever mode you last left it.

Folders on the home page — create, drill in, rename, delete (with confirmation for non-empty), navigate via breadcrumbs.
Move files into folders with a new "Move to folder…" button showing the full folder tree.
Home grid no longer hides files sharing a name with a file in another folder.
Tidier home screen — the large welcome banner has been removed.
"Create New Pattern" moved to the menu bar so it's always in the same place.
New script-style "StitchALot Studio" wordmark in the menu bar.
New patterns now save into the subfolder you're browsing (also Save As).

Launch splash no longer shows a loading spinner — just the logo on the branded background.
Fixed app window not appearing on macOS after the splash-screen change.
No more white flash on Windows launch — paints dark from the first frame.
Fixed home screen flickering / "No files found" flash on launch.
Fixed a "Scanning working directory" box flashing on every launch.
Fixed startup hang / blank window for licensed users on macOS (license validation no longer blocks launch).
Fixed empty home screen when no working directory was set (falls back to Documents).
Recover gracefully when the working directory has been deleted or moved.

PNG export can omit the background (PNG Transparent Background toggle; JPEG continues to use the canvas color).
PNG/JPEG export at the correct physical size (a 7" canvas at 14 mesh exports as a 7" image).
Image exports embed accurate DPI metadata (~300 DPI; PNG pHYs, JPEG JFIF density).
Export 1:1 PNG in Preview Canvas — exactly one pixel per stitch, no gridlines/texture (for print services).
Fixed Export PNG/JPEG doing nothing on Android (now opens the system file picker).
Export PNG/JPEG no longer feels frozen on tap — picker appears immediately with a "Generating image…" indicator.

Refresh button on the Font Browser's Local tab to re-scan installed fonts without restarting the app.

Fixed width/height fields in Tools → Canvas Layout resetting to 0 while typing.
Fixed Canvas Layout dialog being unscrollable on shorter screens (Apply button now always visible).

Fixed "Deactivate" failing with "Device not found." / "No license key found" when activated via account sign-in.
The app now re-checks your license with the server on launch (background, non-blocking; offline grace period preserved).
Mac App Store / Google Play: License Information shows your license key with one-tap Copy, lists active devices, and nudges you to create a free account after purchase.
Fixed email sign-in silently failing to activate; device-limit prompt now appears inline on Android.

Now on the Mac App Store — purchase in-app via StoreKit, no license key required (sandboxed/hardened). Direct download from stitchalot.com continues as a notarized universal DMG.
Google Play Billing — purchase the Android app directly via in-app purchase; fixed verification failures.

Fixed persistent black screen on iPadOS 26 (including 26.5) — branded launch splash now appears.
Fixed black screen on iPad/iPhone launch (desktop-only focus listener no longer runs on mobile; Exit button hidden on iOS).
Branded Corinthia script wordmark now shown in the menu bar on macOS.
New patterns save into the subfolder you're browsing.
Fixed iPad home page showing "No files found" with patterns present.
Fixed selection-move rendering ♥ as the red emoji while floating.

Android tablet support — full save/load, fonts, PDF/image export, and share sheet (tested on Galaxy Tab S10 FE). Requires Android 7.0+.
Patterns in a visible folder you can browse/back up, surviving reinstall (or choose App Storage).
New patterns save into the folder you're browsing (also Save As, duplicate, open-from-other-app).
Pattern previews appear right away on a new install.
Offer to add a Home screen icon on first launch.
Sharper, properly centered app icon.
Direct-download Android app now notifies you of new versions.
Stable device IDs across reinstalls; recognizable device label (e.g. "SM-T870").
Fixed OXS/pattern import & export failures and wrong-file-type acceptance via the system picker.
