June 2017

June 2-3, 2017
Kiwanis Center West
100 N. Staebler, Ann Arbor, MI

Come join bag-making gurus Sara Lawson of Sew Sweetness and Annie Unrein of Patterns by Annie as we create two amazing bags during one fun weekend.

This Day Camp event will be on Friday and Saturday, June 2-3 in Ann Arbor, MI. We will be sewing at the Kiwanis Center Banquet Hall – a great room filled with tons of beautiful natural light!

Campers will be divided up into two groups and will spend one day sewing each bag.

Sara Lawson

Sara will be teaching her Appaloosa Bag, a medium-size bag with plenty of dividers, an adjustable strap, and a magnetic snap closure.

Sara started designing free bag sewing patterns for Pellon Projects, in late 2011. Since then she has written two books, come out with two fabric lines, taught many classes, had two thread collections with Aurifil, and had her work appear in several magazines, including Modern Quilting, Sew News, Stitch, Generation Q, Modern Quilts Unlimited, etc.

Annie Unrein

Annie will share techniques for working with Soft and Stable, installing zippers, making adjustable carrying straps, and more while creating the Bowl Me Over Bag.
